We want to tell you how the idea of setting up the EMOTION! Escape Room for children and teenagers was born.

Everything started in the summer of 2016...

Some friends invited us to an activity, but they didn't want to tell us what it was! Finally, the day arrived and we met at the agreed place. The sign of the place said ESCAPE ROOM.
- What? What is this?
- Well... you'll see.
And in we went! To play!

The game ended and we were so excited. We couldn't believe how much fun we had. One hour of experience, but an UNFORGETTABLE hour!
The conversation about what we had experienced and everything we had done lasted for quite a while and we all agreed that we had felt like children.

At home we kept talking and talking and suddenly... Bam! The idea came up: What if we set up an Escape Room for kids?
Could it be that these games only exist for adults or are there also for children? We wondered.

Well, when we got home...

We searched on Google and not only did we not find Escape Rooms for kids in Barcelona, but we also did not find Escape Rooms for kids in Madrid... Or anywhere in Spain! We only found Escape Rooms for adults or family Escape Rooms.
We couldn't believe it. How could there be no Escape Room for them to have such a fun time with friends...? Or to have a place to celebrate a different birthday? We quickly realized the need to set up one exclusively for children and teenagers.

But, Wait a moment!

Apart from the need to set up an activity for the little ones that was lacking in Barcelona, there was also another need...
At that time, Carla was unemployed. EMOTION! was also born as an employment solution, even though today we do not feel it as a job, but as a part of our life.

And why a children's Escape Room?

At that time, Fede was a teacher. He is a mathematics professor and, as he has a good teaching vocation, he could not avoid imagining applying an Escape Room game as a learning method where, at the same time, children and teenagers could have fun and spend quality time.

We had the idea and we believed that together, we could make it a reality.

So hands... and brains to work!

We knew there would be a lot of work ahead and a lot to learn. We joined our brains and started working on what each of us was best at.
Little by little, we shaped the brand, we made the website, we thought about the tests, we painted and decorated the premises and we built the material for the game. But of course, we didn't do everything alone! We had the help of our friends, family, and excellent professionals who took care of everything that was impossible for us.

After a few months, we were ready to open our first game: La Nube.

And the adventure came to life...

Just before opening,

we were scared and very nervous.
What if everything we had done didn't work?
We had to try it... With kids!

The day arrived,

and we received the team. We saw expressions of joy and intrigue, but above all, a desire to play!
Our heart was beating fast... We explained the game as best we could (Since we were also learning!), we explained their mission and they went in. We saw them surprised, excited... They were playing the Escape Room for the first time!

Mission accomplished!

The game ended; they came out euphoric: laughter, shouts, jumps, and high fives. The kids had accomplished their mission and we had accomplished ours: They had a great time!

When the game had once again fallen silent and we were preparing to pick up and assimilate everything that had just happened, we found a message that gave us immense joy:

"The coolest in the world. Thanks" 😋

We were ready to give THE EMOTION! EXPERIENCE to many kids.

And how did the second game arrive?

After a year, families who had already played were calling us to celebrate their children's birthdays with us again. But the game was the same one they had already done! We doubted whether to set up a new one, until some inquiries turned into orders. We had to do it!
Hands to work once again and in a few months, we already had the new adventure: The Cat.
It was very emotional to see familiar faces again. Two years in a row accompanying the children on their special day... We couldn't believe it...

How EMOTION escape room for kids was born

A team was formed...

Over time, wonderful people have come to us with whom we have formed a great team. People who have put on the EMOTION! shirt and have transmitted our philosophy with a lot of love, working with full dedication.

When the party ends, that the children, parents and mothers remember their names is no small thing. They are not just monitors. They are the ones who make this important day become an EXCITING EXPERIENCE.

And the team keeps growing...

At the beginning of 2020, we launched our franchise proposal, which was interrupted by the pandemic, but today we already have franchised locations in Barcelona, Madrid, and Mataró in Spain, and in Braga, Portugal.

But, OH! We have not explained why we are called EMOTION!

There's not much of a story here, truth be told... There were so many emotions we experienced before opening, that we said... EMOTION! And we don't know why, sometimes, saying words in English sounds cooler. So... that's how it stayed, EMOTION!
